Private Student Counselling in York
A warm welcome. I am a therapist in York offering private counselling,
both face to face in York and online across the UK, for young
adults and university students experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood,
low self-esteem and feeling overwhelmed by student life or life in
general.

You may be finding university or early adult life more difficult than
expected. Perhaps you are overthinking everything, feeling stuck or
lost, struggling with relationships or feeling unsure about your direction
in life.

Alongside my private practice, I work as a university counsellor and
have extensive experience supporting students through academic
pressure, anxiety, burnout, identity questions and the transitions that
come with this stage of life.

I offer weekly or fortnightly counselling for a range of difficulties
including anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, overwhelm, relationship
difficulties and loss. I work with many autistic students and LGBTQ+ students.

Counselling is a space where you can talk about whatever feels important
to you, including things that feel hard to say elsewhere.

It is not always easy to talk to family or friends. You may worry about being a burden or feel that you will be judged.
In counselling, you do not need to have the right words or a clear reason for coming. We can begin wherever you are.
Counselling can help you to:

-
identify and understand difficult feelings
-
feel less overwhelmed and more grounded
-
understand yourself and your relationships more clearly
-
find new ways of coping with problems
-
improve confidence and self-esteem

All of which can support your wellbeing and quality of life.

Sessions are available in person in York or online depending on what feels most comfortable for you.

Sessions: £50 for 50 minutes
Tuesdays: 9am-6pm
Wednesdays: 9am-6pm
