A warm welcome to you.
I am a private therapist based in Heworth, York. I also work UK wide online. I offer 1:1 counselling to younger adults (18-30s) who are struggling with anxiety and depression or who are finding life difficult for a wide range of reasons.

I offer an accepting, non-judgmental and confidential space where you can explore whatever is causing you concern.

Counselling can help you to live a better life. It can help you to:

-
Understand yourself more deeply.
-
Build and enjoy more meaningful relationships.
-
Process difficult experiences and emotions.
-
Improve your self worth and self confidence.
-
Reduce feelings of anxiety and depression.

I work with many with university students, LGBTQ+ and autistic people. My counselling approach is person centred, which focuses on the uniqueness of your experience of life.

I know it is not always easy to talk to family and friends. You may worry about feeling judged, not want to worry them, feel that they won't understand or, perhaps, that they are part of the problem.

Counselling takes you beyond coping; it offers you the chance to take the time to explore you and your life. The new understanding you gain from can help you start to approach things differently, making changes that feel right for you.
