A warm welcome. I am an experienced counsellor offering private counselling in York and online across the UK for young adults, university students, autistic adults and LGBTQ+ clients, with particular experience supporting anxiety, low mood and life transitions.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a university counsellor and have extensive experience supporting young adults through the pressures, uncertainties and transitions that can come with this stage of life.
Life might feel overwhelming right now. You may be overthinking everything, feeling stuck or lost, finding relationships difficult, or dealing with a challenging situation.
Anxiety is one of the most common difficulties I support people with in my practice. It can leave you feeling overwhelmed, stuck in worry, unable to switch off, or constantly on edge.
Anxiety can include overthinking, panic symptoms, difficulty relaxing or feeling unable to cope with everyday life. It can also reduce your self-confidence. Through anxiety counselling, we can explore what is behind these patterns, what may be keeping them going, and work towards making life feel more manageable.
I offer a calm, supportive space to help you understand your experiences and find ways to manage them that work for you.
I provide weekly or fortnightly counselling in York from my practice in Heworth. As well as anxiety, I support clients with low mood, depression, low self-esteem and low self-confidence, bereavement and relationship difficulties.
It is not always easy to talk to family and friends. You may worry about being a burden or fear being judged.
Counselling offers a space where you can talk openly about whatever is concerning you, especially thoughts and feelings that may feel difficult to bring up in your usual conversations.
Why try counselling? Counselling can improve your quality of life and create lasting change in how you relate to yourself and others. It can help you to:
-
Identify and manage difficult feelings
-
Gain new insights and perspectives about yourself
-
Improve your relationships with yourself and others
-
Find new ways to cope with problems
-
Increase your self-esteem and confidence
Sessions are available in person in York or online, depending on what feels most comfortable for you.

Sessions: Tuesdays & Wednesdays 10am to 5pm.
Zoom sessions available from 9am.
