LGBTQ+ Counselling in York
I offer face to face and online counselling to Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual,
Transgender, Queer and more (LGBTQ+) people who want to a confidential
space to to explore any aspect of their sexuality or gender identity.
Being LGBTQ+ can come with its own set of challenges as well as joys.
You may have questions, thoughts and feelings about your identity that you
want to freely and deeply explore. These may be related to new discoveries about
yourself, current issues or past experiences.

I understand the importance of having a dedicated, confidential space to talk with someone who does not have an agenda, only an interest in knowing more about you. You may want to look at:

-
Your sexuality, gender identity or romantic orientation
-
Whether to come out, coming out, staying out or changing your mind
-
Coming out as LGBT later in life
-
Navigating attraction, dating and relationships
-
Self acceptance and understanding including internalised homophobia and transphobia
-
Facing stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination

Or you may not want to talk about any of the above, but you would like to talk to a counsellor who is more than "LGBT friendly", they are part of the LGBTQ+ community; I am gay/lesbian. It can be really helpful to talk to someone who shares your identity, who you don't need to explain yourself to. This means you can fully focus on what matters to you.
